Race 2 of the Sydney Harbour Women's Keelboat Series

Race two of the Sydney Harbour Women's Keelboat Series 2022/2023 was completed on Sunday hosted by CYCA.

Fourteen boats raced in 10-15kt easterlies, starting off Point Piper and racing up to Cannae Point (Division 1) or Lady Bay (Division 2) before a run under

kites back around Shark Island.

Katie O’Mara steered Georgia Express to the Division 1 win after achieving a second over the line behind Khaleesi (Liz Charles), winning on handicap ahead of Rumba (Stephanie Cook). It Happens (Bridget Canham) and Mondo (Lisa Callaghan) shared third place after finishing level on corrected time.

Wilde Rush and Speedwell both raced with full-female crews, finishing seventh and eighth respectively in Division 1.

Georgia Express now leads the overall pointscore in Division 1, ahead of Agrovation (Marike Koppenol) and It Happens.

Catherine Thornton-Rofe skippered Kaotic (MYC) to victory in Division 2 followed by Coco (Jenny Farrell) in second place and Okavango Delta (Lyn Humphries) in third.

Race 3 will be hosted by Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron on Sunday 20 November, with the final three races hosted by RANSA, Middle Harbour Yacht Club and Manly Yacht Club.
