This past Sunday August 15 we had five optimist sailors; Hannah Ranger, Tom Milburn, Max Paul, Elliott Philpotts, and Xavier Philllips, head up to RPAYC for some race training in the Ice Breaker regatta. And what a trip it was! This was Hannah and Elliots first race experience against other clubs and Xaviers second. With the old Estate Master trailer now property of junior sailing it was the perfect way to get five boats up north because it made for a quick load and unload at either end.

 Mat Belcher and Malcolm Page (AUS) will wear the gold dot on their sails as the Men’s 470 fleet starts the Final Series of the 2010 Delta Lloyd 470 World Championship on Friday. Thursday’s racing was abandoned due to high winds and seas in the morning and a dying breeze in the evening.
