Incorporating the 'Learn to Sail - Tackers' and Junior Development Racing programs

MHYC Sailing Centre of Excellence is an accredited Yachting Australia Training Centre (YATC).

MHYC has a proud tradition of developing young sailors, culminating in the success of Nathan Wilmot and Malcolm Page winning Gold in the 470 Mens at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. MHYC is also the home base for the Australian sailing team (AST), with all of the the receant olympians all training and based out of the club. This has helped the AST have their best ever results at an Olympics with local sailor Malcolm Page becoming the most successful 470 sailor in the world with a second GOLD medal at the London Olympics in 2012.

To continue this tradition, MHYC is dedicated to junior sailing through a range of programs and classes. These programs provide a fun environment to sail as well as strong pathways as our juniors develop as sailors.

Our holiday camps are a combined Tackers and Fun camp with lots of activities to entertain the kids while learning to sail, including sand building competitions, treasure hunts and beach games.
