Yacht Sales Australia Wednesday Series

Series 3 of the Yacht Sales Australia Wednesday Non Spinnaker Series is moving in to its final phase with 8 of the 12 races now completed.
Gordon Ketelbey’s Zen is in a close battle with Gunther Schmidtlindner’s Austmark for the lead in Division 1.  Only one point separated the boats leading in today’s race.  Peter Sorensen’s Philosophers is just two points behind, so the series win is within the reach of three boats.
In Division 2, it is an equally tight contest at the top of the results table between Jack Stening and Colin Gunn’s Stormaway, one point ahead of Gary Carless’ Renaissance as they headed out to the start line this afternoon.  Another Dilemma (Jim Curtis) is four points behind Renaissance – not out of the picture but it would require 5 good results to get ahead of their rivals.
Conditions over the series have been generally moderate breezes from the North East and South East with one race abandoned due to strong winds.  Today’s race is lighter.
