Sydney City Marine MHYC Winter Series 2010

Race 2 - Saturday 15 May 2010

Competitors in the Sydney City Marine MHYC Winter Series 2010 are advised of NSW Maritime 'Special Event' arrangements for the arrival of around the world sailor, Jessica Watson, Saturday 15 May 2010.

A moving Special Event Area / Exclusion Zone will be in force, surrounding the vessel 'Ella's Pink Lady', between 1100hrs and 1600hrs (subject to weather and other factors). The Exclusion Zone will be closed to all navigation other than Police, NSW Maritime and official event vessels between these times.

At this stage it is expected that the Special Event Area / Exclusion Zone will have minimal effect on racing. The Race Committee shall display the First Warning at 1200hrs and an announcement shall be made on VHF 72 if changes to the start time occur.
