Combined Clubs Racing
In season 2010/2011 the MHYC Open Division and No. 1 Divisions have scheduled Combined Clubs Racing with CYCA (SOPS) and RSYS. On the days where a Combined Clubs race is scheduled at RSYS or CYCA SOPS, MHYC will not be conducting racing for that division.
Details of these events have been mailed to all competitors and are available to download here.
It is recommended that Skippers read the corresponding clubs Sailing Instructions before racing.
Race Management Competitors Scheme
Competitors in the Annual Inshore Series should be aware from the Annual Skippers Briefing and MHYC Special Regulation 27.0 of the Clubs need for you and your crew to assist our Race Management Team to conduct our Racing at the high standard which we all enjoy at MHYC.
The Sailing Office have prepared the Competitors Race Management Assistance Guide Lines and Roster for the 2010/2011 Season. Click here to Download
In essence, most Yachts and Division Representatives will only be required to assist with one Volunteer once or twice a year. The scheme will not prevent a yacht racing and should provide both yachts and MHYC with a practicable long term solution which will benefit all MHYC Members.
It is also the view of the Flag Officers and Sailing Committee that this scheme will provide Volunteers with an opportunity to learn much about their sport from the MHYC Race Management Team and engender a renewed spirit of Volunteering at MHYC.
I ask that you read the above document and check when your Division Representative or your Yacht is rostered. If you have any questions I would be pleased if you would contact Brendan Rourke or Andrew Phillips in the Sailing Office (Tues-Sat) on 9969 1244.
